Diametric are thrilled to announce they have been chosen as ‘Small Business of the Year’ at this year’s Isle of Wight Chamber Business Awards. The event, sponsored by WightFibre, took place on 6th May and was a huge night for the island’s business community, with 52 companies shortlisted across 15 different categories.
Joe Newnham, Operations Director, said: “this is the first time we have entered the Chamber awards and, knowing the high calibre of businesses based on the island, we were elated to even be shortlisted. The other three companies we were up against are all excellent contenders and we feel absolutely thrilled and honoured to be selected as the winners in our category.”
Judges for the Small Business of the Year category, sponsored by Wightlink, were looking for evidence of enterprise and sustainable growth as well as future strategy and potential for further growth. Diametric are especially proud to win the award after what has been a particularly difficult time for the business sector.
Managing Director, Graham Steele added: “The challenges faced during 2021 enabled us to take a broader look at the business and focus on how we needed to develop our approach to overcome each obstacle. We have also seen our amazing team respond pro-actively and adapt, and their unwavering support has ensured we have been able to continually offer a first-class service to our loyal customers. This award will mean so much to all our staff and the look on the teams’ faces on the night when Diametric was announced was just priceless.”
Diametric would like to express thanks to the Isle of Wight Chamber for organising this amazing event. Congratulations to all the companies shortlisted. We are incredibly proud to be part of the fantastic and supportive business community on the Isle of Wight.
